Administrative Professional

MJ Roofing, Manitoba’s premier commercial roofing contractor, is hiring a full-time Administrative Professional in Winnipeg, MB. For more than 65 years, we have specialized in the inspection, maintenance, and replacement of ICI roof systems across Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, meticulous individual able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced workplace while taking pride in producing polished, accurate work. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting client communication, field service coordination, and the preparation of professional client‑facing documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile, synthesize, and format high volumes of client reports using field technician data.
  • Dispatch work orders to field technicians and help keep workflows organized, accurate, and on schedule.
  • Respond to client questions and concerns in a professional, timely, and service‑oriented manner.
  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Sales and Management teams.
  • Enter, update, and verify information in internal systems and spreadsheets with a high degree of accuracy and diligence.
  • Prepare, edit, and distribute correspondence, internal documents, and client‑facing materials as required.
  • Monitor incoming communications and ensure requests are directed to the appropriate team members.
  • Coordinate schedules, appointments, and internal follow‑ups to support productive day‑to‑day operations.
  • Coordinate hotel bookings and travel arrangements.
  • Order and maintain office supplies.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including shortcuts and hot keys.
  • Typing speed of 65+ words per minute.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Comfort using standard office equipment, including multi‑line phone systems and copiers.
  • Successful candidates are required to demonstrate Microsoft Word proficiency during the hiring process.
Preferred Assets
  • Experience maintaining filing systems, records, and supporting documentation.
  • Experience preparing internal reports, summaries, and administrative documentation.
  • Ability to support general office organization, document control, and routine clerical processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is an asset.
