Responsibilities As the PIPP Support Services Clerk, you will be responsible for clerical duties of moderate complexity, in accordance with policies, procedures and established precedents.
Provide administrative support to the Case Managers and Benefit Administrators, preparing claimant correspondence and arranging claimant travel and accommodations.
Open and sort all incoming mail for injury claims and distribute documents for all injury claims staff.
Prepare outgoing correspondence including customized, dictated, and template forms and letters that contain sensitive information requiring a high level of confidentiality.
Navigate the BI3 program to upload or print documents, search for information, and adjust data and reserves according to direction.
Print documents for the case owner to complete during the initial meetings or to be sent out by mail.
Arrange for delivery of documents via priority post, registered mail, and courier.
Review, sort, and distribute injury claims mail.
Handle incoming documents submitted with insufficient claims information according to procedures.
Perform claim file administration, including claim closure and data updates within BI3 and other supporting systems.
Coordinate employee and claimant travel, as required.
Support and assist with clerical functions within the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
One year of practical experience in an office environment.
Technical Knowledge and Skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of Share Point.
Knowledge of the BI3 (asset).
Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute—testing may be required to demonstrate this ability.
Handles multiple tasks and prioritizes assignments to meet deadlines.
Works with accuracy and attention to detail.
Works independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with leaders, peers, and vendors.
