Job Description
The Receptionist at Extendicare is responsible for providing essential administrative and front-desk support.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
- Answering all incoming calls and responding to inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
- Greeting, assisting, and directing all visitors.
- Maintaining and monitoring visitor sign-in/out procedures and ensuring security protocols are followed.
- Assisting with admissions and discharges, and providing key administrative help to the scheduler for shift replacements.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, fully stocked, and well-organized reception area.
- Assisting with small projects as required by other administrative support.
- Upholding and promoting the organization's values and philosophy as set out in Extendicare's Code of Conduct.
Qualifications for the Receptionist position include:
- Above-average interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in reception is considered an asset.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Highly organized and detail-focused.
