Tactical Buyer - Supply Chain Specialist

Drive purchasing excellence at Hitachi Rail as a Tactical Buyer located in hybrid mode in Toronto, Ontario. This role focuses on effective sourcing and transitioning ERP systems for procurement.

As the Tactical Buyer, you will manage a designated range of commodities, working closely with suppliers and ensuring the completeness of requisitions. You will also run analyses on overdue purchase orders and oversee supplier contractual obligations to prevent delays.

Your role includes coordinating payments and documenting procurement decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage specific commodity purchasing and ERP transitioning

• Close off purchase orders with suppliers

• Analyze and report on past due purchase orders

• Ensure requisition accuracy and completeness

• Document purchase justifications for management review

Requirements:

• 3-5 years in Supply Chain or related field

• Degree in business or Operations Materials Management

• Strong communication skills in English

• Understanding of procurement processes and ERP

• SAP experience is a plus
