POSITION SUMMARY

The Intermediate Business Analyst drives business improvements by defining needs, requirements, and practical solutions aligned with strategic goals. They collaborate across teams to ensure successful project delivery, support high‑quality results, and foster teamwork while mentoring junior analysts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Analysis – General

  • Partners with stakeholders to define and monitor the business rationale, expected benefits, and desired outcomes of change initiatives, including support for business case development.
  • Applies business analysis best practices to plan, manage, and execute analysis activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Acts as a key liaison between business units and technology teams, translating strategic objectives into clear business, stakeholder, functional, and non‑functional requirements.
  • Maintains end‑to‑end requirements traceability to support scope control, solution alignment, and effective change management.
  • Facilitates stakeholder engagement to elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and system requirements.
  • Contributes to solution design by ensuring proposed changes are aligned with business needs, operational realities, and project objectives.
  • Supports the coordination, communication, implementation, and rollout of system and process enhancements to enable successful transition to business operations.
  • Contributes to the development, documentation, and maintenance of PMO methodologies, standards, and business analysis best practices.
  • Develops and promotes the use of standardized templates, tools, and frameworks to improve consistency and quality across project teams.

Business Process Management

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to evaluate and improve business processes, with a focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and the optimal use of enabling solutions.
  • Conducts current‑state and gap analysis to identify process inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for scalable, data‑informed improvements.
  • Supports the development and adoption of business analysis and process improvement best practices across the organization.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to less experienced business analysts as appropriate.

Quality Assurance

  • Leads and coordinates quality assurance activities in collaboration with business stakeholders and project team members.
