Take on a high-impact role as a Senior Purchaser managing a parts portfolio with tactical purchasing expertise. This hybrid position based in Burnaby, BC, emphasizes supplier relations and strategic sourcing.
In this senior-level position, you will drive procurement strategies while providing mentorship and guidance to the Purchasing Team. You'll balance everyday purchasing with projects focused on process improvements, data analysis, and supply chain KPIs. This role escalates critical supplier issues to maintain continuity of supply.
Key Responsibilities- Manage assigned portfolio ensuring inventory levels and cost efficiencies
- Resolve critical supplier escalations quickly to minimize downtime
- Lead procurement strategies for special projects and corporate initiatives
- Identify and implement continuous purchasing workflow improvements
- Conduct regular data analysis and KPI tracking for the department
- Minimum 5 years in tactical purchasing within manufacturing
- Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Business or Technical field
- Solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems
- Experience with PCBA processes is an asset
