Join Niagara's strategic growth team as a Defence Sector Specialist in a hybrid capacity. Drive economic development through research, strategy implementation, and investment attraction efforts.
In this vital role, you'll report directly to the Manager of Strategic Growth Services and focus on strengthening the defence sector in Niagara Region. Your responsibilities will include supporting existing businesses, facilitating market access, and attracting new opportunities. Collaboration with government officials and industry partners is essential to align with federal defence priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of the Niagara Defence Sector Strategy
- Conduct analysis on defence procurement and supply chains
- Assist local businesses enhance procurement readiness
- Coordinate investment attraction activities with stakeholders
- Create sector‑specific marketing materials for promotion
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
- 5–8 years experience in economic development
- Familiarity with federal procurement frameworks
- Proven ability to build effective partnerships
- Robust analytical and communication skills
