Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (10+ years) to document business requirements and perform algorithmic impact assessments for AI use cases

Must Haves

10+ years in business analysis within federal public sector or comparable regulated environments

Demonstrated experience documenting functional and non-functional requirements and business processes

Proven capability completing Algorithmic Impact Assessments (AIA) or similar compliance documentation for AI use cases

Experience creating test plans
, traceability matrices
, and establishing acceptance criteria

Post-secondary education in business, computer science, or related discipline

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Agile system development artefacts such as user stories and evaluation criteria

Experience supporting or utilizing departmental methodologies within Government of Canada projects

Responsibilities

Develop and document statements of requirements to meet defined business objectives

Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows

Document business processes and associated rules aligned with new solutions

Complete Algorithmic Impact Assessments and related materials for AI initiatives

Prepare test plans, scripts, traceability matrices, and acceptance criteria

Deliver business analysis documentation including process diagrams, models, and non-functional requirements

Provide knowledge transfer to departmental leads and support internal methodologies
