As a vital member at GFL, the Team Leader will manage HAZMAT responses and ensure operational readiness. This role entails coordinating resources and leading safety initiatives while training technicians and fostering professional relationships. A proactive mindset is essential, with opportunities for ongoing training and specialization in hazardous material handling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead rapid response to HAZMAT emergencies

• Perform chemical transloading and neutralization

• Organize resources for effective incident management

• Ensure emergency response equipment is maintained

• Conduct safety meetings and job hazard assessments

Requirements:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license;
Class 1 or 3 preferred

• Experience with hazardous materials handling

• Strong communication and organization skills

• Ability to work on-call and out of town

• Must pass physical fitness requirements
