Child Care Assistant (CCA) with 40 hours course
Full-time, Term Position

Location:
105 Lucas Ave and 785 Keewatin St., Winnipeg
Position:
Child Care Assistant (CCA) with 40 hours course
Shift: Available between 7:00am-5:00pm
Status: 3 months term
Hours:
9 hours including one-hour unpaid lunch and 2 paid 15 min breaks
Salary: $21-$24.06/hour (as per CUPE Daycare contract)
Qualifications- Classification as Child Care Assistant with 40 hours course
- Strong interpersonal, team building, and communication skills
- Current first aid and CPR certification (Level
C) - Good understanding of Manitoba Child Care Program’s Regulations
- Must be energetic, friendly and enthusiastic
- Must be willing to take initiative
- Experience in implementing activities an asset
- Completion of Canadian Centre for Child Protection’s Commit to Kids online training immediately upon hire
- Subject to successful criminal record with vulnerable sector search & child abuse registry check.
- Must complete mandatory 40‑hour course approved by Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care (within first 6 months of employment)
- Ensure the physical care and safety of the children.
- Provide emotional support and nurturing care to children
- Provide children with the opportunity for growth and development
- Follow Centre’s behaviour management policy
- Maintain confidentiality; follow licensing regulations, and know and follow Centre policies and procedures.
- Work with a team of professionals to meet the individual needs of children who require additional supports.
- Communicate regularly with families
- Work directly with children and families who require additional supports
- Other duties as assigned
