Cinematographer/Videographer | Winnipeg-based | $65,000 - $100,000 CAD The Company

The Role

They are seeking a talented Cinematographer to shape the visual language of projects from concept through delivery. Working closely with directors and creative leads, they will be responsible for translating narrative and creative vision into striking, cinematic imagery. This role blends technical expertise with artistic sensibility and requires someone who can adapt to a range of styles, formats, and production environments.

The

Responsibilities
  • Develop visual approaches and shot concepts that align with creative briefs and story objectives
  • Operate and maintain camera equipment, lenses, and related gear to achieve the desired look and feel
  • Collaborate with directors, lighting teams, and production crew to plan and execute lighting setups and camera movements
  • Oversee on-set camera operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency throughout production
  • Contribute to pre-production planning, including location scouting, shot lists, and technical planning
  • Work closely with post-production teams to ensure footage supports editing, color grading, and final delivery requirements
The Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Cinematographer or Director of Photography across a range of productions including commercials or television
  • Experience with video editing and shooting
  • Strong understanding of camera systems, lenses, lighting techniques, and composition
  • Refined visual eye with the ability to translate creative direction into compelling imagery
  • Comfort working in fast-paced production environments and managing multiple priorities
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills when working with creative and technical teams
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about visual storytelling
