This 9-month term position emphasizes initiating and researching original story ideas. You'll write and refine stories for various platforms while adhering to strict quality standards. Additionally, you'll assess news leads and conduct interviews to cover important developments, fostering meaningful conversations through powerful reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and pitch innovative story ideas each day

• Write and ensure editorial quality of multi-platform content

• Cover breaking news by evaluating leads and interviewing

• Recommend visuals and collaborate on story package finalization

• Engage with team members to enhance storytelling effectiveness

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in journalism or a related area

• Demonstrated experience in journalism and reporting

• Knowledge of Canadian Press style and content systems

• Effective articulation of Indigenous community issues

• Strong skills in technology utilized for broadcasting
