APTN is seeking a passionate Video Journalist to join its dynamic team. Report on local, national, and international issues affecting Indigenous communities, and develop stories for multi-platform distribution. Key Responsibilities:
• Cover daily news events and pitch story ideas
• Evaluate leads, interview sources, and develop original content
• Edit video footage and prepare it for broadcast
• Work with HD technology for live news feeds
• Collaborate with Broadcast Technologists for equipment needs
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in journalism or a related field
• Experience with HD cameras and AVID editing software
• Strong cultural sensitivity towards Indigenous issues
• Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
• Collaborative spirit and a positive attitude
