Creative Director for Uniter

Position: Creative Director for The Uniter
Lead design and layout for The Uniter’s weekly newspaper. We’re seeking a committed Creative Director to elevate our community storytelling through engaging visual design.

As The Uniter’s Creative Director, you'll influence the visual identity of our independent publication. This part-time contract role requires 16+ hours weekly, with office presence on Wednesdays during the academic year. You’ll need expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, strong layout skills, and a knack for effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and layout for the weekly print publication

• Maintain brand consistency across all platforms

• Edit and correct photos for the publication

• Coordinate graphics and illustrations with volunteer contributors

• Manage rate cards and advertising documents

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in design or equivalent experience

• 1-2 years of relevant design experience

• Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator

• Strong communication skills in-person and digitally

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks
