Join CBC/Radio-Canada as a reporter/editor and cover local news for the Selkirk/Interlake area.

Your role will center on delivering in-depth coverage and connecting with Indigenous communities.

This full-time position calls for a self-motivated journalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for researching, pitching, and producing news stories that engage and inform your audience. Collaborating with fellow journalists and understanding local perspectives will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and produce compelling news stories

• Act swiftly on breaking news developments

• Build and maintain community relationships

• Collaborate with CBC colleagues for cohesive reporting

• Meet high journalistic standards in every piece

Requirements:

• Journalism degree and minimum three-year experience

• Strong writing and audience engagement skills

• Ability to work independently and adapt to change

• Knowledge of Indigenous issues in Manitoba

• Valid driver’s license with required insurability
