You will team up with the city editor to craft compelling news narratives, writing two 500-word pieces weekly and an additional feature per semester. Collaborating with visual artists ensures necessary visuals accompany your stories, while your consistent attendance at meetings and adherence to established journalistic standards are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the city editor on news stories

• Write two 500-word articles per week

• Develop one cover feature each semester

• Collaborate with the visual team for story-related visuals

• Participate in weekly and monthly editorial meetings

Requirements:

• Strong writing and interviewing skills

• Availability for weekly pitch meetings

• Familiarity with Canadian Press style and ethics

• Commitment to around 10 hours per week

• Active during the academic publishing schedule
