The Uniter is inviting applications for two arts and culture reporter roles. Reporting directly to the arts and culture editor, you will write two 500-word stories each week while actively participating in the vibrant arts scene. Your insights will drive deeper narratives about music, theatre, and more in Winnipeg.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the editor to shape stories
• Write two 500-word pieces each week
• Summarize and pitch for arts news briefs
• Partner with visual team for cohesive content
• Participate in weekly and monthly editorial meetings
Requirements:
• Strong background in writing and interviews
• Passionate about diverse artistic expressions
• Availability to attend pitch meetings weekly
• Knowledge of Canadian Press style guidelines
• Active engagement in local arts and culture
