This position involves managing contributions, providing feedback, and ensuring that the editorial team thrives. Flexibility is required for editorial and pitch meetings as well as mentoring opportunities throughout the academic year, adding depth to your role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the managing editor to curate weekly stories

• Assign and manage writer contributions weekly

• Ensure balanced and filled editorial sections

• Deliver constructive feedback to contributors

• Participate in editorial meetings consistently

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years in city/news writing experience

• Proven editing capabilities

• Strong decision-making and multitasking skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficiency in Google Drive and Docs
