Join Global News in Kingston as a Videographer, responsible for producing engaging news stories for TV. You will create compelling content for CKWS News, pitching and reporting on local events while mastering filming and editing techniques. This full-time role requires adaptability to various shifts, including evenings and weekends, for timely news coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Report local news and events for CKWS News
• Shoot, edit, and voice news content for broadcasts
• Pitch and produce unique stories relevant to the community
• Monitor news sources for developing stories
• Conduct interviews and engage with the local community
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Broadcast Journalism
• Experience in video shooting, editing, and writing
• Strong storytelling and news writing skills
• Camera operation and non-linear editing expertise
• Valid passport and class “G” driver’s license required
