Position: Weekend Host for CBC Radio
Become a Weekend Host at CBC/Radio-Canada in Iqaluit, specializing in both Inuktitut and English services. Engage listeners with interviews, weather updates, and compelling segments every weekend.

Join CBC North as a full-time Host for weekend morning programs in Iqaluit.

Your role involves researching and presenting segments, maintaining high journalistic standards, and reflecting community diversity. Ideal candidates will excel in Inuktitut along with broadcasting skills, and have a keen understanding of Inuit culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate broadcast equipment for smooth on-air presentations

• Prepare and present engaging interviews and segments

• Participate in community activities promoting CBC

• Communicate effectively with the audience

• Archive programs and maintain scripts

Requirements:

• Excellent on-air presentation and Inuktitut skills

• Strong grasp of Inuit culture and relevant issues

• Ability to meet tight daily deadlines

• Good research and interview skills

• Previous broadcasting experience preferred
