The position requires you to participate actively in weekend morning broadcasts, ensuring accurate and fair storytelling. You’ll be responsible for segment preparation, on-air presentations, and community engagement. Essential skills include strong Inuktitut language proficiency and a solid understanding of northern issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Function broadcast and computer equipment effectively
• Present relevant community news and segments
• Engage in outreach to promote CBC initiatives
• Maintain ongoing communication with listeners
• Document programs for future reference
Requirements:
• Superior presentation skills in Inuktitut and English
• In-depth understanding of Inuit culture
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team
• Competence with deadlines in broadcasting tasks
• Preferred previous experience in radio or TV
