Be part of the Manitoba Métis Federation in Winnipeg, contributing as a Finance Officer. This role focuses on accurate financial record-keeping and timely report generation.
The MMF is looking to fill a Finance Officer position within its Red River Métis Government. As a Finance Officer, your responsibilities will include processing financial transactions, preparing comprehensive reports, and analyzing financial data. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are crucial for success in this role, especially in a not-for-profit environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process financial claims and perform account reconciliations
• Prepare and present financial reports
• Review incoming invoices and manage journal entries
• Ensure all receivables are collected and bills are paid promptly
• Support the maintenance of accounting policies and guidelines
Requirements:
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Three years’ experience in a similar role
• Familiarity with Accpac or related accounting programs
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to travel within Manitoba with a valid driver's license
