Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mortgage Specialist to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will assist clients throughout the mortgage process, providing expert guidance and exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of financial products, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Bilingual abilities, especially in English and French, are highly valued to serve our diverse client base.

The Mortgage Specialist will play a key role in helping clients secure the best mortgage options while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in understanding mortgage options and guiding them through application processes
  • Evaluate client financial information to determine eligibility and suitable mortgage products
  • Prepare and review documentation related to mortgage applications, approvals, and closings
  • Negotiate terms with clients and lenders to secure favorable mortgage agreements
  • Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing of mortgage transactions
  • Stay informed about industry regulations, market trends, and new financial products
Skills
  • Proficiency in English; bilingual in French or other languages is a strong asset
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Knowledge of financial services, including cash management and lending practices
  • Ability to interpret financial data accurately using math skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and record keeping
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse clients effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in document review and processing
  • Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate within a team environment
