Location: Portage la Prairie
Become a Financial Navigator with Kenora Chiefs Advisory, focused on empowering Anishinaabe individuals across eight First Nations in Ontario. Deliver financial services including tax support, budgeting, and to foster financial independence.
In this full-time role within the Min-O-Qwe-Ke-Ga-Bwe’in Social Services Initiative, you will provide culturally relevant, trauma-informed services. You’ll help clients navigate financial systems, access benefits, and achieve personal financial goals. Facilitating outreach initiatives and workshops will enhance community engagement and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients with tax preparation and filings
• Support benefits applications and
• Provide financial coaching on debt and budgeting
• Conduct workshops to educate communities
• Document service delivery and client progress
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education in social work or finance
• Experience working with Indigenous communities
• Proficient in communication and facilitation
• Valid driver's license required, with travel
• Understanding of Anishinaabemowin as an asset
