This role, reporting to the Finance Manager, focuses on managing the water and sewer utility billing system and enhancing customer relations. You will lead initiatives that influence financial reporting, auditing, and the development of strategic billing practices, ensuring efficient operations throughout.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate billing system operations
• Lead improvements in meter reading and accounting functions
• Create policies for effective financial management
• Direct year-end audit processes within the department
• Manage staff involved in billing and collections
Requirements:
• Chartered Accountant designation required
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business
• Strong knowledge of financial systems is necessary
• Proficiency in financial applications and analysis
• Demonstrated ability to maintain positive external relationships
Drive impactful changes in the billing landscape and customer service with the City of Winnipeg.
