Financial Analyst – Municipal Board Focus

Join the Manitoba government as a Financial Analyst focusing on the Municipal Board’s financial health. This role involves deep financial analysis and strategic planning in a full-time capacity.

In this position, you will serve as the financial lead for several Tribunals, providing support on all financial matters and ensuring compliance with over 27 Provincial Acts. You’ll track transactions and enforce filing fees, while also preparing necessary submissions to enhance Tribunal capacity and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the financial expert for the Municipal Board and Tribunals

• Process financial applications and manage capital finances

• Draft and manage financial documentation for approvals

• Support Tribunal management with financial advice

• Enhance capabilities in organizational finance and compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, economics, or related field

• Background in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

• Familiarity with The Municipal Act and other provincial legislation

• Strong analytical skills and political acumen

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
