• Member Services
  • Process over the counter financial services (deposits, withdrawals, loans, utility payments, money orders, credit card advances, foreign/domestic exchange, cheque cashing).
  • Balance transactions including ATM, night deposits and daily cash drawer.
  • Resolve routine problems with member accounts and deposit instruments.
  • Adhere to security procedures protecting cash, negotiable items and preventing fraud.
  • Meet balancing, one‑located outages, high‑risk errors and audit targets within deadlines.
  • Respond to member inquiries in person, on the branch phone, and via email.
  • Use member financial knowledge to position product and service value.
  • Maintain knowledge of credit union policies on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention.
• Relationship Management
  • Differentiate credit union and competitor products based on member needs.
  • Communicate product and service information using an advice‑based approach to secure sales.
  • Use fact‑finding questions and techniques to overcome objections and ask for sales.
  • Cross‑sell all credit union products and solicit new members.
  • Foster business development through service excellence and product knowledge.
  • Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of all products, policies and legislation.
• Team Work
  • Maintain open communication and cooperation with staff for a friendly, efficient environment.
  • Collaborate with teammates to achieve organizational and departmental objectives.
  • Participate in meetings, planning and training initiatives, sharing ideas for success.
• Business Development & Community Relations
  • Look for referral opportunities for lending and wealth teams.
  • Contribute to an entrepreneurial environment to seek new business and referrals.
  • Retain and expand member relationships while pursuing new business.
  • Act as an ambassador for the credit union through community involvement.

This list is not inclusive and other tasks and/or responsibilities may be assigned by your supervisor.

This position will provide coverage to the Beauséjour, Oakbank and Whitemouth branches on an as needed basis.

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (Business Administration or other post‑secondary education is an asset).
• Minimum of 1 year of prior customer/member service experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to identify and act upon sales and service opportunities.
• Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and perform well under pressure.
• Ability to prioritize and make timely decisions.
• Knowledge of Access Credit Union’s products and services.
• Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of risk management in the financial industry.
• Proficient computer skills.
