Join the Capital Regional District as a Senior Financial Advisor, focusing on strategic budgeting and financial oversight in this essential full-time position.
As part of the Financial Services team, you will act as the Controller for various service areas.
Your role involves budgeting and compliance, ensuring financial regulations are met while collaborating with senior managers to facilitate informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop operating and capital budgets with detailed funding plans
• Monitor and analyze financial expenditures for accuracy
• Provide consultative support on budgeting and cash flows
• Conduct comprehensive reviews to identify funding needs
• Collaborate with stakeholders on financial reports and analyses
Requirements:
• Degree in a relevant field is required
• Minimum 6 years of directly related experience
• CPA designation is essential
• Knowledge of Local Government Act and accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP
