This full‑time and permanent position is based in Canada and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact on our Funds business and its growth.

Purpose of Role

As an Assistant Manager, Fund Services (NOC 11100), you will work under the direction of the Manager and/or Sr. Manager, serving as the day‑to‑day point of contact for operational matters and critical requests, and assisting with the coordination and review of the team’s work. You will be responsible for the accounting and administration of a portfolio of Private Equity, Private Debt, and closed‑end funds, ensuring deadlines are met, deliverables are accurate, and client service standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for operational questions and critical issues.
  • Assess and plan workload based on deadlines; coordinate daily tasks and workflows across the team.
  • Perform the accounting and administration for a portfolio of Private Equity, Private Debt, and closed‑end funds.
  • Review accounting transactions and prepare periodic working papers, management reports, and financial statements (including bank reconciliations).
  • Draft annual financial statements and related note disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Prepare and/or review management reports, financial statements, and other deliverables to meet client deadlines.
  • Prepare and/or review capital call and distribution notices.
  • Prepare and/or review waterfall calculations, equalization, and subsequent closings.
  • Support new client onboarding: coordinate with the KYC / Investor Services team, liaise with legal counsel, review and interpret legal documentation, and oversee data migration for fund transitions.
  • Respond to client/investor inquiries and coordinate annual audits.
  • Contribute to client servicing activities and the maintenance/development of client relationships.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members (fund accounting and Private Equity topics).
  • Assist with day‑to‑day team matters (absences, vacation, etc.) and contribute to an engaging work environment.
  • Complete administrative tasks and other related projects as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Accountancy.
  • Language of work:
    English.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Private Equity, fund accounting or in a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Private Equity accounting system Investran or equivalent (Allvue).
  • Strong working knowledge of Private Equity Fund Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Benefits

Wage / salary range: CAD $85,988 to $90,000, depending on experience.
