At Stack Adapt we are building out a Commercial Finance team to partner closely with the revenue organisation as it continues to grow and execute on business strategy. This team will combine financial, commercial, and business acumen to help drive results that are profitable, scalable and deliver long-term value.

We are looking for a Commercial Finance Lead to join this team during this critical build stage and play a key role in shaping the commercial strategy behind Stack Adapt’s growth journey. Reporting to the Director, Global Commercial Finance, this role will partner closely with the North American revenue teams. You will provide the financial rigor and insights necessary to review and make recommendations on commercial opportunities, analyze financial performance and support on strategic business cases across the revenue organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Deal Reviews & Governance:
    Support the revenue team with commercial negotiations through the review and approval of deals and initiatives. You will create financial models to assess proposals and pricing options, and collaborate x-functionally to ensure alignment across the business.
  • Commercial Business Partnering:
    Finance support to the divisional and regional revenue leaders, providing detailed financial analysis and insights into performance, profitability, planning and strategic decision‑making.
  • Cross‑Functional Coordination:
    Collaborate across the Finance (Accounting, FP&A, Credit/AR), Revenue Operations and Legal teams to ensure end‑to‑end alignment on commercial activity, financial results and forecasting.
  • Reporting Excellence:
    Develop and maintain tools to track revenue and profitability performance against expectations, identifying opportunities and providing actionable insights. From time to time, conduct in‑depth analysis, proactively identifying key trends, risks, and growth opportunities to guide leadership.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
  • Professional

    Experience:

    5–6 years post‑professional qualification (CPA or equivalent) experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Business Analytics, ideally within a high‑growth or global technology environment.
  • Commercial Modeling:
    Proven ability to build complex financial models and extract actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Stakeholder Influence:
    Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively with Sales leaders and cross‑functional teams.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Advanced Excel skills are required;
    Google Sheets know‑how is plus. AI skills and experience of utilising LLMs at work is a significant plus, alongside experience with data tools like Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • System Knowledge:
    Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Net Suite) and commercial tools is an asset.
  • Organizational Agility:
    Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast‑paced, global environment.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

The compensation range listed for this role reflects the expected base salary for candidates located in Ontario, Canada. It is informed by market data and the approved budget for this position. Stack Adapt maintains different compensation ranges for roles across other countries and regions, and final offers will be aligned to the candidate’s current location.

This range represents base salary only. Depending on the role, candidates may also be eligible for additional compensation such as annual bonuses, commissions, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits
