The RoleReporting to the President of the Automation Integration Segment (“Integration”) and indirectly to Tavoron’s CFO, the Vice President Finance, Integration is a key member of the Segment’s executive team. The role is responsible for shaping and executing the Integration strategy, overseeing financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting, and ensuring the Segment’s financial health and compliance. The role involves strategically managing risks, optimizing financial processes, and leading the finance team to support the Segment’s growth and operational efficiency.
The Vice President Finance, Integration will collaborate with Integration’s management team to provide financial insights that drive business decisions and ensure effective capital allocation, in addition to overseeing financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial management and a proven ability to lead financial operations within a growing, dynamic environment.
Role Responsibilities- Understand and monitor compliance with all financial and tax reporting compliance guidelines.
- Oversee finance function and finance teams at the six existing Segment businesses, with more M&A activity to come.
- Participate in annual audit process and related feedback.
- Participate in annual tax filings in both US and Canada and ensure tax compliance.
- Ongoing assessment of internal controls and adjust/implement as necessary.
- Robust forecasting to identify future challenges, business risks and opportunities for performance improvements.
- Monitor, understand and forecast fundamental cash flows for the business.
- Banking relationships as needed, and related monthly and annual reporting requirements.
- Manage FX scenarios as they apply and oversee compliance to intercompany pricing compliance.
- Balance effective inventory management with cost control to optimize profitability, cash flow, and financial health.
- Participate in financial and tax due diligence for potential new acquisitions.
- Participate in the onboarding and integration of new Automation Integration acquisitions.
- Navigate ongoing market conditions to minimize risk.
- Limit credit/collection risks through a robust credit approval process.
- Ensure costing/quoting models are up to date and reflect the reality of the business environment.
- Work collaboratively with the senior management team to promote and support talent acquisition and development, employee engagement, and a unified company.
- Lead, mentor, challenge and develop a high-performing Finance and Accounting team; create an environment where the team is motivated to build on their individual skillsets to achieve organizational objectives as well as personal development goals.
- Work with Tavoron IT to determine ERP solution of best fit for the overall Integration group.
- Develop a cadence with the Integration team project leadership to ensure revenue is captured in a robust “POC” accounting environment.
- Detailed contract review at all levels to identify anything out of the ordinary.
- In collaboration with the Segment President, provide general legal oversight for the operating divisions and manage the relationship with external counsel as needed. Identify when issues require external legal input to safely navigate the issue.
- Identify any situations that may lead to litigation or legal challenges.
- Work with Tavoron’s CFO to ensure that reporting is in compliance with the private equity parent on several financial and operational reporting requirements.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidation workbook for submission.
- Submit monthly cashflow forecast.
- Maintain business intelligence information as part of private equity parent real-time reporting.
