Wawanesa is seeking a dedicated professional for a 12-month term as a Senior Tax Specialist under the supervision of the Manager, Tax Reporting & Compliance. In this role, you'll prepare and review tax provisions and returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and a background in tax law.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax provisions and returns quarterly and annually

• File monthly and quarterly indirect taxes and income tax

• Collaborate with finance teams to meet reporting requirements

• Assist with audits and maintain relationships with external auditors

• Conduct tax research and develop compliance processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Commerce or similar relevant degree

• Minimum 5 years of tax-related experience

• Experience with CRA and provincial tax auditors

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Attention to detail in complex tax matters
