Director of Risk Governance

Position: BMO Director of Risk Governance
Drive regulatory compliance and risk management as the Director of Risk Governance at BMO in Toronto or other select cities. Lead governance design and evidence-based controls across various risk types.

The successful candidate will have a profound impact on BMO's accountability for delivering regulatory programs across Tier 1 Risk Types. This role demands expertise in governance and support for regulatory compliance aligned with the Bank's Risk Management Framework.

You'll work with multiple business units, fostering collaboration and developing long-term strategies for risk programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee regulatory compliance and risk mitigation initiatives

• Lead evidence-based control designs for various risks

• Mentor and develop high-performing teams for better outcomes

• Communicate and prepare briefings for senior leadership

• Monitor compliance with risk appetites across divisions

Requirements:

• 9+ years of regulatory experience in financial services

• Advanced program management and analytical skills

• In-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks

• Ability to lead in ambiguous and complex situations
