Financial Risk Analyst - Credit Focus

Become a key player in Great-West Lifeco's Financial Risk Management team as a Financial Risk Analyst focusing on credit. This temporary full-time position provides the chance to evaluate and guide credit risks on fixed income and other investments.

As an experienced analyst, you will independently review credit ratings and enhance the credit risk management framework. Work collaboratively within a dynamic team to develop efficient processes and foster innovation in economic risk assessments, supporting a broad range of financial interests across Canada, the US, and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and approve internal bond ratings and investments

• Evaluate risk for new commercial mortgages and assess suitability

• Develop processes for credit risk identification and management

• Enhance existing rating models for accuracy

• Research trends in credit risk and agency developments

Requirements:

• Degree in Business Administration or relevant qualification

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in credit analysis

• Progress towards CFA or FRM designations preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, and S&P CapIQ
