Manager, Acquisition Integration
We are searching for a Manager, Acquisition Integration to join our high-impact team in Winnipeg. The Manager, Acquisition Integration is responsible for the onboarding and financial integration of our acquisitions and is a unique combination of accounting, finance, and project management. Responsibilities- Develop a thorough understanding of acquired companies, combining information and insights gained in diligence with further discovery of practices and processes at acquired organizations to create customized, effective, and efficient transition plans.
- Transform forecasts developed in the diligence phase into budgets following PC chart of accounts and accounting methodologies to enable input into PC’s ERP.
- Work across the broader finance and payroll teams to integrate payroll and benefits, banking, AP, and revenue tracking.
- Financial reporting during the integration period, including variance analysis, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget updates.
- Calculations of post-close transaction payments, such as earnouts and working capital audits or analyses.
- Project management and/or execution of a range of onboarding work streams (IT, HR, Enablement, Legal & Compliance, Facilities, and other as appropriate), serving to integrate new acquisitions, supporting the assigned project lead.
- Prepare and/or deliver timely, accurate, clear, concise, and consistent integration project progress updates to principals of acquired organizations and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure the project management system is up to date as it relates to assigned projects.
- Contribute to a positive overall experience for principals and employees of acquired organizations, including timely resolution of ad hoc challenges and obstacles.
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture that supports team goal attainment and professional development.
- Identify and surface opportunities for process improvement across all aspects of integration, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Mindset of intellectual curiosity, continuous learning, perseverance, and a recognition that growth happens outside the comfort zone.
- Ability to advance multiple work streams and projects under tight timelines while maintaining high quality of work product.
- An understanding that this is a role of significant responsibility and importance to the M&A strategy of People Corporation and accordingly a willingness to work in excess of standard working hours when necessary to accomplish goals and meet timelines.
- Ability to augment hard accounting and finance skills with soft interpersonal skills to solve problems / find solutions in a pragmatic and effective manner.
- Attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal form to inform, influence, persuade, and establish trust with relevant stakeholders across the organization.
- 3-5 years experience in accounting and finance roles of increasing responsibility, preferably in financial planning and analysis.
- Completion or near completion of a CPA designation is required.
- French language proficiency would be an asset.
- Experience in financial due diligence, transaction advisory / M&A experience.
