Reporting to the Associate Manager, Business Systems Controls, the Analyst, Business Systems Reporting will support in developing and implementing internal control policies and procedures. This role will support compliance monitoring. The Analyst, Business Systems Reporting, emphasizes organizational efficiency, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
Key responsibilities include:- Financial Operations
- Conduct audits of accounts related to operational controls including fees and scheduled and ad-hoc reporting while ensuring adherence to compliance standards and accuracy in financial records.
- Monitor financial transactions occurring in corporate accounts, meticulously maintaining detailed records, and obtaining necessary approvals based on predefined threshold limits.
- Estimate error amounts associated with trade corrections to facilitate accurate reporting and resolution of discrepancies.
- Initiate and process corrective tickets for trade corrections, employing suitable procedures tailored to the security type to rectify discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assist in the design, documentation, and monitoring of internal control frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirement.
- Data and Reporting Management
- Provide monthly reports of internal accounts to different stakeholders;
Operations (House and Corporate Error Accounts), Compliance (IA Error Accounts), P&P (Average Price Accounts, Capital Market Accounts, and Finance Accounts). - Generate comprehensive reports through the collection, analysis, and summarization of relevant information.
- Examine transactional data within accounts, identifying any suspicious or unusual activities, and taking appropriate steps to escalat and propose corrective measures for resolution.
- Leverage technology to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls, exploring innovative solutions and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide monthly reports of internal accounts to different stakeholders;
- Transfer Fee Support
- Provide analytical support on transfer fees. This involves transfer fee support for newly onboarded IAs, reversal process, tuck in, and oversight on exceptions.
- Facilitate the submission of iMOST for NBIN processing as required.
- Execute the daily upload and reversal processes of transfer fees, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of fee transactions.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly reports on transfer fees for transitioning IA teams, providing valuable insights and facilitating a smooth transition process.
- Proactively monitor and manage dashboards to ensure timely updates and accurate tracking of project tasks, bugs, and feature requests (e.g. JIRA)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Technology or a related field.
