Job Summary: Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist supports the administration and execution of Manitoba Harvest HR policies and programs. The role focuses on organizational effectiveness, employee relations, and change management, providing proactive, solution‑oriented HR support. The Generalist applies HR expertise, delivers clear and targeted communication, collaborates effectively across teams, and provides accurate reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with leaders in Canada and the U.S. on performance management, employee relations, compensation, engagement, training, workforce planning, and retention activities.
  • Provide HR recommendations by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in Workday and prepare reports on trends and changes.
  • Prepare employment letters, status changes, leave documentation, benefit updates, and disciplinary records.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and advise management on required actions.
  • Submit payroll‑related updates including hires, terminations, transfers, deductions, and leaves.
  • Support managers and employees by identifying issues, evaluating solutions, and providing coaching.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on local recruitment and conduct onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Support benefits administration including enrollments, changes, terminations, and premium reconciliation.
  • Assist with planning, delivery, and tracking of employee training, including cross‑training and safety programs.
  • Support employee communication channels such as surveys, meetings, focus groups, and feedback programs.
  • Assist with performance management system (P2G) administration.
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • 2–5 years of HR experience preferred.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with demonstrated professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of current HR legislation and trends.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible, approachable, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to travel regularly between Winnipeg and Ste. Agathe locations.
