Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting is assisting our Manufacturing and Production client in finding their newest HR Generalist, who will advance in 3-4 years into a Managerial role.
We are seeking an experienced HR professional for a fast-paced, multi-site operation. Offices and plants are in Canada and the United States.

Pay Perks and BenefitsUp to $65,000/yrSuccession Plan in effect for upcoming retirement 3-4 years from nowBenefits day one of hire, including Health, dental and vision, Life, AD&D, short-term disability and a strong EAP programVacation and paid time offHours 7:30-4:30 PM Monday-Friday with no weekendOngoing trainingFree parkingLocated in South Winnipeg, a car is preferred bus route is difficult.What You’ll DoServe as the first point of contact for employees and leaders on HR-related questions and concernsChampion a positive employee experience across the full lifecycle, including onboarding, development, engagement, and offboardingCoach and support managers on performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary mattersEnsure compliance with employment legislation and internal policiesSupport the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR programs, processes, and proceduresCoordinate training and development initiatives that foster individual and team growthAssist with recruitment activities, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selectionMaintain accurate employee records and prepare reports on key HR metricsLead or contribute to HR projects and initiativesWhat You’ll BringPost-secondary education in Human ResourcesMinimum of 3 years’ HR experienceUSA experience is a strong assetProficiency with HRIS platforms and the Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organizationExperience with payroll inquiries and compliance requirementsA high degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential informationStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and offer practical solutionsExcellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities while keeping processes and documentation currentCriminal record check and references will be completed before the offer stage.
