Job Summary

The Recruiter with a Marketing Background completes full‑cycle recruitment while leveraging marketing expertise to strengthen employer branding and attract top talent. This role combines traditional talent acquisition responsibilities—such as sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring processes—with creative marketing approaches that enhance visibility, engagement, and candidate experience. The Recruiter develops compelling job advertisements, manages recruitment campaigns across digital platforms, and collaborates with internal teams to promote the organization’s culture and value proposition.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Post‑secondary education in Human Resource Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 Years of experience in full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding.
  • 2 years of experience in marketing, employer branding, or content creation is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms (Linked In, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, copywriting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfortable using ATS software and recruitment tools. (Ceridian Dayforce)
  • Experience running paid or organic social campaigns. (preferred)
  • Graphic design or content creation experience (Canva, Adobe, etc.) (preferred).
  • Strong networking and relationship‑building skills
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Coordinate full‑cycle recruitment including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.
  • Identify and attract top talent using job boards, social media, referrals, and networking.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and ensure alignment throughout the hiring process.
  • Create engaging job postings that reflect company culture and attract targeted talent.
  • Develop recruitment marketing campaigns across social media, career sites, and digital platforms.
  • Produce content such as career stories, employee spotlights, and culture highlights.
  • Use data and insights to improve campaign performance and candidate engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and organized data within the ATS and recruitment systems.
  • Track and report key metrics such as time‑to‑fill, source effectiveness, and pipeline activity.
  • Ensure recruitment practices comply with HR policies, employment laws, and EDI principles.

  • Sourcing & Networking: Proficiency in using Linked In, job boards, and ATS platforms. Strong networking abilities within industry and talent communities, with added expertise in using social media and digital channels to attract and engage candidates.
  • Marketing & Branding: Skilled in crafting compelling job ads, social posts, and employer branding materials. Ability to apply marketing principles—such as audience targeting, content creation, and analytics—to enhance recruitment reach and candidate engagement.
  • Technology Proficiency: Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Familiarity with AI‑driven sourcing tools, recruitment automation, marketing analytics tools, and social media management platforms.
