Your Opportunity
This is a net new position that provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable practical experience and work in various areas of Human Resources. Students will rotate between the HR Services Team for 4 months and the Talent Acquisition team for 4 months. Opportunities are also provided to students to participate in workshops with Data Analytics, Field HR, Compensation, and Benefits Teams.
Note:
There will be a requirement to be available to attend some on-site events, with an opportunity to work both remotely and from a BDO office anywhere in Canada.
HR Services Team
Drafting various employee lifecycle letters including promotion letters, FTE changes, and transfer lettersCompleting ad hoc background screen checks for external employeesAnswer general employee questions on BDO HR policies/procedures and employee benefitsFacilitate and schedule company-wide orientation for new employeesComplete forms for STD and LTD claims for employeesTalent Acquisition
Preparing materials and attending on site campus recruiting eventsPre-screening candidates for roles and scheduling interviewsCreation and posting of job requisitions to the Workday Applicant Tracking systemConduct research on recruiting trends and present findingsHow do we define success for your role?

You are currently working towards a degree/diploma in Human ResourcesAvailability to work full-time for an 8-month Co-op or InternshipYou have a desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamworkYou have strong PC skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Share Point You are able to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgementYou display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
