Enhance workforce effectiveness as an HR Scheduler at Elmira District Community Living. Manage shift schedules, optimize staffing, and ensure compliance with collective agreements.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role is vital for daily and weekly scheduling responsibilities. You'll post shifts, handle absences, and maintain adequate coverage across programs and locations. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and publish employee schedules accurately
• Coordinate shift coverage and handle call-ins
• Process employee availability and time-off requests
• Ensure compliance with internal scheduling policies
• Respond to scheduling inquiries and escalate concerns
Requirements:
• Diploma or equivalent in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum 2 years of scheduling or administrative experience
• Experience in a unionized environment preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS software (UKG)
• Confidential information management skills
