Position: Human Resource Generalist at Gerdau

We seek a seasoned HR Generalist II to support our Manitoba operations at Gerdau Long Steel North America. This role reports directly to the HR Manager and requires collaboration for employee support, policy implementation, and effective recruitment. You will also address labor relations, training, and compliance across various functions including mill, recycling, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR policies for all personnel

• Coordinate communication to enhance employee understanding

• Counsel on employee relations and grievance resolution

• Conduct recruitment for open positions with hiring managers

• Administer benefits and communicate information effectively

Requirements:

• CPHR or degree in HR, Business, or related field

• 5-7 years of HR experience in a unionized environment

• Strong knowledge of HR legislation and best practices

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
