Reporting to the Chief of Clinical Operations, the Director of Patient Services, Second Building Project will work closely with the CCMB Executive Team, the Director of Infrastructure and Environment and Shared Health’s Department Led Capital Project team to plan, coordinate, and oversee the delivery of the new second building. The Director will be responsible for CCMB’s clinical planning perspective for the programming and design of the second building, ensuring alignment with the CCMB’s vision and strategic priorities.
Acting as a bridge between clinical operations and project execution, the Director seeks clinical stakeholder input and informs the design, planning, and implementation of healthcare services and facilities to the highest standards.
Collaborating with CCMB leadership teams, physicians, and healthcare professionals, the Director coordinates and provides oversight to develop and integrate service delivery models, clinical standards, and operational strategies to the project. They manage clinical project activities to ensure efficient program design and delivery, mitigate risks, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders while keeping the CCMB Executive Team apprised of progress or challenges.
The role also involves co‑leading the planning and design of clinical facilities and infrastructure, aligning resources and services to support the evolving needs of future care delivery. This includes integrating facilities management, clinical equipment, digital solutions, and space planning through the programming, design, and construction phases of the project to address clinical requirements for new construction.
The Director coordinates project and operational planning with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical and medical staff, leadership teams, consultants, and community representatives. In a dyad relationship with the Medical Director, Second Building Project, the Director ensures all planning aligns with CCMB’s strategic goals and incorporates best practices and innovative care models, including patient flow optimisation, infection control, and digital technology integration.

This role is essential in driving innovation and ensuring the successful delivery of Manitoba’s major healthcare construction project.
Qualifications Education- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline such as Nursing, Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, or Business Administration is required.
- 7 years of progressive experience leading a broad spectrum of health services in a publicly funded health services delivery organisation.
- 5 years of management experience within the healthcare field is required.
- 3 years of management experience leading a clinical operations team within a unionised environment is desired.
- 3 years of experience implementing program planning, development and evaluation is required.
