Senior Manager of Indigenous Engagement

Shape Indigenous Relations strategy and negotiations at BC Hydro. This full time role emphasizes strong First Nation engagements to advance reconciliation and operational objectives.

In this managerial position, you will guide the development of Indigenous Relations strategies that reflect BC Hydro’s mission and regulatory standards. Your role involves overseeing economic participation models and enhancing relationships with First Nation organizations. Collaboration with government entities will be critical for successful strategy implementation and community engagement.

• Develop IR strategies aligned with business objectives
• Lead First Nation commercial negotiations
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments
• Enhance framework for BC Hydro’s Relationship Agreements
• Report to senior leadership on strategic direction

• University degree in relevant areas, Master’s preferred
• 10+ years of Indigenous relations experience
• 2 years of management experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Strong network in the energy and Indigenous sectors
