As part of its ongoing expansion, the company is seeking a Market Manager to join its Winnipeg team, where they will support market development and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
JOB SUMMARYThe Market Manager holds full accountability for the overall performance of a designated market, including financial results and operational execution. In this role, you will set and drive the strategic direction while overseeing day-to-day priorities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and sustainable long-term growth.
A key focus is building and leading high-performing teams through strong leadership, coaching, and talent development, while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This position plays a central role in strengthening organizational capability and shaping team culture, and also offers a strong leadership development pathway with clear potential for progression into senior management roles within the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Engages actively in the market, partnering with segment leadership to shape and execute business plans that enhance performance and operational results.
- Owns annual financial targets while ensuring customers consistently receive reliable, high-quality service at every touchpoint.
- Builds organizational strength by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, while driving engagement, accountability, and high-performance culture.
- Drives team performance through continuous coaching, capability development, and timely resolution of performance gaps when needed.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key and strategic customers across the market, strengthening long-term partnerships.
- Partners closely with warehouse leadership to align operations, improve consistency, and drive efficiency and continuous improvement across logistics and delivery.
- Collaborates with safety leadership to reinforce a culture of compliance, accountability, and proactive risk prevention across all operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; MBA considered an advantage.
- 7–10 years of leadership experience in branch, regional, or operations management roles.
- Strong background in distribution, supply chain, or related operational environments.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and operational best practices.
- Proven ability to break down complex problems and implement practical, results-oriented solutions.
- Comfortable operating in dynamic environments requiring judgment, autonomy, and adaptability.
- Strong understanding of operational management principles and business drivers.
- Highly customer-focused with a strong emphasis on team engagement and people development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong alignment with organizational values and leadership expectations.
- Willingness to travel periodically, including multi-day trips when required.
- Flexibility to relocate to the assigned market if needed.
