Director of Compliance and Governance at CMHR

Lead the charge for governance and compliance excellence at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights as the Director of Compliance and Governance Services. Your leadership will facilitate strategic alignment across the organization.

Reporting to the VP of People and Organizational Development, you will oversee governance, compliance strategies, and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct governance and compliance framework development

• Serve as Corporate Secretary and manage Board operations

• Advise on regulatory and legal compliance

• Coordinate strategic planning and performance measures

• Build relationships with governmental and external agencies

Requirements:

• Strong background in governance and compliance

• Experience in public sector or related fields

• Knowledge of federal and provincial regulations

• Proficient in both official languages

• Skills in project management and political acuity
