Job Description

The Project Manager is involved in all aspects and phases of the project life cycle, including the technical assistance in the development of project proposals, design, build, trouble shooting, project organization and operational start up and transition activities throughout the Cando network.

General
  • Must have the ability to travel away from home for extended periods to support new and existing business
  • Support the execution or implementation of new business opportunities working with the Project Management team
  • Build and maintain positive and healthy relationships with all stakeholders and promote harmonious employee/customer/contractor relations while guiding and coaching employees, supervisors, and other managers
Planning & Service Delivery
  • Provide technical input in the development of company proposals, including costing, schedules, schematics and conceptual drawings
  • Ensure the project scope is established and clearly articulated to all stakeholders
  • Coordinate and oversee initial planning, design, preparation, execution, and closeout phases of projects under the Project Management Team
  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders, as required
  • Lead others in the implementation of new innovative work environments and ensure awareness on project initiatives, decisions, policies, etc.
  • Conduct field activities including site set up, support, visits, and investigations
  • Review and comment on existing processes and operations
  • Provide opinion and recommendations with regards to efficiency opportunities and improvements throughout the project life cycle
  • Identify, vet and manage suppliers, engineering firms, consultants and subcontractors in all aspects to support the project including financial implications, Contractor Management programs, contract negotiations and maintain all documentation
  • Execute and manage regulatory compliance, HAZOP, risk assessment, monitoring and maintaining all related HSSE policies
  • Create and implement work systems and procedures as necessary for operational handover and provide adequate training to site supervisory team
  • Maintain timelines, budgets, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Implement and execute project management best practices and disciplines
  • Monitor and control all aspects of the project execution
  • Identify and implement mitigations to maintain project scope
  • Implement plans for managing risk and ensure risk is appropriately mitigated
  • Develop short and long-term goals with objectives for the project and ensure employees and/or subcontractors have the understanding, skills, training, and resources to achieve these objectives
  • Ensure efficient work systems and procedures are in place for the project and help Site Supervisors make adjustments if necessary
  • Familiar with project management software
Management & Administration
  • Responsible and accountable to maintain quality, scope and financial aspects of a project
  • Monitor project budget details and expenses
  • Create, track, and maintain financial records, reports, and processes as required
  • Work with appropriate stakeholders to prepare plans, specification, estimates, and site safety and emergency plans
