Volunteer Opportunity Details Description of Duties

Our overnight camp program gives kids affected by cancer a chance to just be kids! What's unique about Camp Quality? Our campers are matched with volunteer Companions (Camp Counsellors) who are there to support them throughout the week. You can expect many classic camp activities, like swimming, sports and games, canoeing, adventure, arts and crafts and more! Our year‑round volunteers who make up the Camp Organizing Committee plan the schedule and activities for the week.

As a program volunteer, you could be assigned to a number of roles at camp; which you can indicate your preference on your application form. Companions are volunteers who have the opportunity to participate alongside campers, playing games, singing songs, encouraging and cheering them on as they engage in the program and make new friends.

We also have Super Companions; they support in giving Companions breaks during the week, help lead activities and more! This role is unique due to the flexibility and getting to engage with lots of campers during the week!
