English Group Leader Volunteer

JCFS is looking for volunteers interested in being English Group Leaders for our Settlement Services Program. These leaders will lead a Speakers Group focusing on teaching newcomers English in an informal setting. The volunteer should be experienced in working with groups and comfortable running different topics of conversation. This is a 6-week commitment with classes once per week.

Skills Required:

• Must be patient, caring and compassionate
• Experience leading a group of adults
• Fluent in English
• Able to commit to a 1.5-hour shift for 6 weeks

• Knowledge of services and programs
• Admin skills
• People skills
• Any other training available to staff would be available to volunteers (First Aid/Program related)
