Responsibilities- Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba (MDAM) is a not-for-profit organization.
- It is a self-help organization dedicated to providing support, education, and advocacy for those living with mental health illnesses through peer support and other services.
- Today, MDAM operates throughout Manitoba, supporting individuals, their friends, families, and caregivers that have been affected by mood disorders.
- One of the services we offer are peer support groups that are facilitated by dedicated volunteers that have lived experience with mood disorders or co-occurring disorders.
- A facilitator plans, guides, and manages an in-person peer support group for MDAM.
- English language proficiency
- Lived or working experience with mental health
- Organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Well-developed listening skills
- Knowledge of peer support or mental wellness (asset - training will be provided)

Time CommitmentEvening. The volunteer shift for facilitating the Mixed Bipolar in-person peer support group is every Tuesday from 6:30pm–7:30pm.
